Severe Thunderstorm Watch
The Storm Prediction Center In Norman, Oklahoma, has issued a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM Watch... Until 9:00 PM EDT for the KBTL area. DISCUSSION... Rapidly heating of the atmosphere to around 80, with dewpoint in the middle 50s, have produced a CAPE of around 1000 J/kg. Lift indicies are countinously rising from -4 an hour ago, to -6 as of 1318 EDT. Helecity over Illinois, is progged to move into lower Michigan this afternoon and evening, with an approaching cold front, thunderstorms, some severe, will develop. WATCH INFORMATION... This watch will go in effect at 2:00 PM EDT, and will expire at 9:00 PM EDT. MAIN THREATS... Marginal Large hail, straight-line winds, and dangerous lightning are all possible, as well as a couple isolated tornadoes near the 1-96 Corridor.
